Lately, one of my favorite quotes is by the British author/cartoonist Ashleigh Brilliant: “My life has a suberb cast, but I can’t figure out the plot.”

Brilliant’s words pretty much sum up the point I’m at in my life, as a recent college grad trying to figure out what’s next, outside the familiar, sometimes insulating, bubble of college.  And they also provide a bit of comfort…I’m not the only one out there trying to navigate this whole “being a grown up” thing.

Which is also why I started this blog.  Not being on a college campus anymore means that I’m not constantly surrounded by people who are at the same phase in life as I am.  The discussions and conversations about life and the future that seemed so natural and impromptu on a college campus are harder to come by.  So I thought I’d bring the conversation to the blogosphere.

And though I’m not certain of all the plot points, there are a few that I do know.  I’m Maura, a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, Class of 2011.  Hoping to pursue a career doing what makes me happy: writing.  Currently living back at home in Boston, but open to where ever life takes me.

And the suberb cast?  I’m hoping they will be my first batch of readers!
