You’ve finally got a job–now how do you keep it?

Saw a great article on msnbc.com from a July 24 Today Show spot offering tips to recent grads about keeping your first job, once you’ve done all the hard work of landing a job in the first place.

And just in case you don’t want to check it out, here are some highlights from the article by Eve Tahmincioglu:

  • You might have thought all those networking emails and LinkedIn posts were history now that you’ve got a full job, but no such luck.  Networking is still really important, within a company and a field, even after you have a full-time job.
  • No more Facebook, YouTube, Sporcle, and all of those other time-wasting sites out there on the Internet during work hours.  You can try to beat your best time naming all the countries of Europe or stalk your ex-boyfriend’s status updates on your own time.
